Homicide at the Chamber of Screams Haunted House
The crew of the Chamber of Screams has one mission this Halloween: scare the living daylights out of anyone brave enough to walk through those doors. And let’s be real—you’re crushing it. Word on the street? Management’s noticed. Which is why they’ve cooked up a little something for the team—a mini celebration right in the employee break room. Cozy, snack-filled, and free from fog machines and screaming guests. Well, you can still hear the line of guests outside, but at least they're not screeching yet.
Now, here’s the fun part: every night, the Chamber hits “pause” for a few minutes. Officially, it’s to “reset scenes” and “refresh the scares.” Unofficially? Rumor has it the break’s a clever trick to let the line outside get so long it wraps around the block, making people think the haunt is that good. (Spoiler: it actually is.) This place didn’t claw its way to being the #1 commercial haunted house in the world by accident.
Whatever the real reason, on your next shift, that pause is your ticket to a free little party before you dive back into the chaos. Snacks, laughs, maybe some juicy cast gossip—then it’s straight back into the dark, where the real fun begins.
Your shift is drawing near. The break room’s calling. And somewhere between the snacks and the screams, your night just might take a turn you didn’t see coming.

Cast Members of the Chamber of Screams Haunted House
THE ATTIC (FOURTH FLOOR)
SKITTER VON OCTO
Humanoid Spider
A humanoid spider mutant who scurries through the cobweb catacombs of the attic, Skitter wears a Victorian coat covered in dusty webs and carries a lunchbox full of beetles. Skitter has a habit of showing up in corners, hanging upside down in staff meetings, and whispering fun facts about venom. Skitter never blinks and is constantly knitting.
Also – Skitter may or may not have laid eggs in the fog machine. Someone went to the first floor and placed a cluster of chicken eggs in the fog machine. Nobody at the haunted house will fess up, but many theorize it was Skitter - for no reason other than Skitter is Skitter.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Victorian overcoat with spider webbing on it. Sew two legs (stuffed long socks) to either side of your costume to make 8 appendages.
HUMANOID SPIDERS OF THE COBWEB CATACOMBS
The humanoid spider crew is a very stressed out bunch. The rest of the cast have no idea why they're so stressed, as they've never even had to scare a tour guest! Since the Chamber of Screams opened, many years ago, nobody has ever made it to the attic on the fourth floor! So, the spider team has nothing to do but huddle in a corner amongst some fake spider webs during their shifts. And, the webbing can be quite itchy, so they say.
Rumor has it that nearly all of them are looking to transfer from their spider roles. Hmm. What's going on up there, anyway?
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Spider costume. Sew two legs (stuffed long socks) to either side of your costume to make 8 appendages.
THE AFTERLIFE LOUNGE (THIRD FLOOR)
NASHI GNARLY
Zombie Rock Star
This washed-up rockstar–turned–dental hygienist now stalks the stage as a snarling, guitar-slinging zombie. Back in the ’90s, Nashi played in a band called Gnarly—a ragtag crew of friends and former marching bandmates who first jammed together in 7th grade and somehow kept going all the way through college. They became popular locally - nobody disputes that and some older cast members seem to recall it as a fact.
According to Nashi, Gnarly once opened for a massively famous band at one of the biggest rock festivals in 1998. No one’s been able to verify the story, and everyone’s dying to know who it was. The cast has their suspicions—there’s only ever been one major festival in town—but since it was pre-social media, finding records of the smaller acts is tricky. Clearly, Nashi’s hiding something… and only time will tell if the truth will ever come out.
These days, Nashi headlines the zombie band Rot ’N Roll, shredding in the Afterlife Lounge on the haunted house’s third floor. Of course, in the Chamber’s long history, only one brave soul has ever made it that far.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Rock star attire that is tattered, dirty, with zombie makeup with disheveled glam band hair.
THE UNDERWORLD (THIRD FLOOR)
BELL Z. BUBBY
Leader of the Underworld
By day, Bell Z. Bubby is a composed paralegal working at the district attorney’s office. By night? Bell becomes the eerie ringmaster of the underworld room at the Chamber of Screams Haunted House. Calm in chaos, Bell’s unshakable demeanor only deepens the mystery—and the terror.
Known for settling otherworldly disputes with razor-sharp logic, Bell may or may not be using real-world legal skills to keep the demons in check. There's a creepy elegance to the way Bell commands the room—visitors never quite know whether they’re in the presence of justice or judgment.
Bell hosts fun card games during each shift, as there are no managers on the third floor keeping an eye on them, and the tour guests never make it up to the 3rd floor. Most cast members are envious of the Underworld crew.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Devil or demon costume of any kind with a toy pitchfork as an optional prop.
THE UNDERWORLD DEMON TEAM - BELLS BAND OF DARKNESS
Welcome to the infernal depths of the Chamber of Screams. The Demon Team, led by the ever-composed Bell Z. Bubby, brings fire, fury, and just the right amount of theatrical torment. Each demon in the crew embodies a different flavor of fear—some whisper, some roar, and some just… stare.
They may come from the darkest pits of imagination, but behind the makeup and menace, this is a tightly bonded crew that runs like a cursed, well-oiled machine. Their chemistry is unshakable, their scares are legendary, and their after-hours snack game is unmatched. Together, they make the underworld room a hellishly unforgettable experience—not that any guest would ever see it, as they never make it that far.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Devil or demon costume of any kind with a toy pitchfork as an optional prop.
SLAYGROUND HIGH SCHOOL PROM (SECOND FLOOR)
SCARY CAREY
Bloody Prom Queen
Scary Carey is a 7th-grade math teacher by day, but at night, she transforms into a spooky high school prom queen at the Slayground High Prom on the 2nd Floor of the Chamber of Screams Haunted House. Known for a fiery temper, Scary Carey is not someone to mess with when she’s in character as the angry prom queen.
However, beneath that tough exterior, she truly cares about her students and always goes the extra mile to ensure they feel supported and understood. Some say Carey’s dedication to her students is unmatched. She often stays late to help with homework or offer a listening ear. However, when the haunted house lights dim, even the bravest students would think twice about crossing paths with her. Scary Carey is fierce and unexpectedly kind in the world of spooky prom queens.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Carrie movie costume - prom dress and long blonde wig with fake blood streaming down from the wig to the bottom of the dress. Make sure the fake blood is dry before you arrive at the party!
SLAYGROUND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Bloody Prom Guests
Scary Carey might be the leader of the Slayground High Prom room, but the student body and fellow prom guests actually run things. Rumor has it that Carey is looking for a transfer out of the prom room due to the bullying. However, that's all part of the storyline of the room, and everyone in the room happens to be a classically trained actor who is totally into method acting. Carey can't take the heat, though.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Prom-worthy attire with multiple fake gashes, etc., Your character bullied Carey and got your comeuppance when she freaked out and got revenge on the student body. Your character died at the prom from Carey's telekinesis attack on you, so create any story of how she got ya. Not feeling creative? Say that a plate from the buffet line flew across the room and ended up in your skull (then, you can make a fake 1/2 plate out of foam, glue it to a headband, put a bit of fake blood where it meets your hair, and there ya go! Make sure any fake blood is dry before you arrive at the party (and use hair-safe fake blood)!
NIGHTMARE ON 13TH STREET (SECOND FLOOR)
TYLER DREAMS
Kruger Freddie (Serial Killer)
Step into the Nightmare on 13th Street room, located on the second floor of the Chamber of Screams Haunted House, and Tyler Dreams will be waiting to deliver the scares. A dedicated aspiring actor, Tyler takes the role seriously and is one of the most terrifying figures in the haunted house. If close-talking makes you uncomfortable, keep your distance from this creepy dream invader! Tyler has a knack for getting way too close during conversations, making chills run down your spine. Some visitors have reported Tyler whispering eerie things just inches from their ears. A few even claim Tyler has perfected the art of appearing out of nowhere, always just a bit too close for comfort. When Tyler is around, it's impossible to relax.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Freddy Krueger costume. Tattered Red and Brown sweater, hat, and fake knife fingers. The mask is optional. Most people hate wearing them, so you can skip them altogether or try to do some scary makeup.
THE COVEN (SECOND FLOOR)
POCUS EASTWICK
Witch
Pocus Eastwick turns the witch's coven room on the second floor of the Chamber of Screams Haunted House into an eerie experience with a chilling cackle that makes everyone shiver. Rumors around the haunted house say Pocus has gone beyond acting, becoming so deeply involved in the character that even the other cast members are getting a little worried. As Pocus stirs strange potions and casts spooky spells, anyone can wonder if the line between reality and make-believe has been crossed.
Some visitors have claimed to feel a strange energy in the room when Pocus is around, like real magic might be at play. A few cast members swear Pocus sometimes disappears only to reappear in places no one could reach so quickly. It's almost as if Pocus has entered a world beyond the stage.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Witch costume. A broomstick is an optional prop.
THE OPERA HOUSE (SECOND FLOOR)
LEROUX GASTON
Phantom of the Opera House
Originally from France, Leroux Gastron became a child star in American movies and quickly made a big impression on everyone in Hollywood. However, Leroux left the fame and bright lights behind at just fifteen to live a quieter life in a small town.
Now, Leroux takes the lead role in the spooky opera house room on the second floor of the Chamber of Screams Haunted House. If you're hoping for a cheerful pick-me-up, you might want to avoid this area since Leroux, now known as Doomer McGloomer, has a unique talent for pointing out the worst in every situation. Some say Leroux's dramatic sighs can be heard across the haunted house. Leroux even redesigns the opera house room to make it gloomier each year. Visitors quickly learn that staying too long around Leroux means getting caught in a cloud of despair. Leroux is an avid Doomsday prepper, no surprise there, and always is convinced the world is on the verge of doom.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: A black shirt and pants, a black cape (or a Victorian vampire costume without makeup and fangs), and a white Phantom of the Opera mask.
THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE (FIRST FLOOR)
SAM CHAWPALOT
Slaughterhouse Butcher
Sam Chawpalot, the mastermind behind the gruesome slaughterhouse in the Chamber of Screams, might not be the most reliable confidant, but definitely brings all the fun to the party. With countless tricks up every sleeve and a love for surprises, it makes perfect sense that Sam runs a joke shop. But be careful—Sam has a reputation for keeping everyone on their toes and ensuring people are always looking over their shoulders! Sam is jump scare royalty and will even sneak up on tour guests to set off bonus pranks, like fake blood sprays or sudden blasts of noise. With this slaughterhouse butcher, expect the unexpected.
Off the clock, Sam’s just as unpredictable—showing up to cast hangouts in bizarre costumes, handing out gag gifts, or launching into tall tales that may or may not be true. Rumor has it, Sam once scared the manager so badly they spilled their coffee and banned Sam from the break room for a week.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Blood-spattered butcher costume. Toy butcher knife &/or rubber chicken are optional props. A Post-it notepad and a pen are optional and fun props.
THE VAMPIRE CASTLE ROOM (FIRST FLOOR)
MORTICIA VAMPMAN
Vampiress
Morticia Vampman, a talented gothic interior designer and artist, brings her mysterious charm to the vampire castle room in the Chamber of Screams Haunted House. Her mix of beauty and brains makes her a force to be reckoned with, especially with her sharp wit. Morticia has a fierce rivalry with Axel Guns, who calls her a drama-conjuring backstabber — and it’s not entirely without reason.
Behind all the drama, Morticia’s stunning design skills reveal an artist who can make an impression in and out of the haunted house. Rumor has it that she can make any room look like it's straight out of a dark fairy tale. The contrast between her creepy vampire role and her creative day job makes her one of the most exciting people in the haunt.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Vampiress costume – long jagged dress with flowing sleeves, medallion, black wig with white face makeup, and fangs as optional props.
THE COUNT
Vampire
Stepping into the ominous realm of the vampire castle within the Chamber of Screams Haunted House, you'll encounter none other than The Count, an intriguing character who takes center stage. By daylight, The Count's identity transforms into that of a skilled defense attorney, but come nightfall, the facade fades to reveal a nightmarish coworker notorious for spewing torrents of trash-talk. A paragon of brutal honesty, this legal practitioner is committed to delivering the objective truth directly to your face, regardless of the circumstances. When not busy defending clients, The Count, yes, that's this courtroom dweller's legal name, enjoys a good debate, often luring victims into verbal sparring matches that cannot be won. Beware, for crossing paths with this fanged entity is an experience best avoided, as a hasty retreat might be your wisest course of action.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Vampire costume. Fangs and a slick black wig are optional props.
THE FUNHOUSE (FIRST FLOOR)
MONEY MILENKO
Leader of the Funhouse Clowns
Money Milenko, a prominent figure among the eerie ensemble of clowns in the funhouse section of the Chamber of Screams Haunted House, stands out as a peculiar character. By day, Money's a jester-for-hire at parties. At the haunted house, Money Milenko embodies the essence of eccentricity in every chilling performance. It's worth noting, however, that this peculiar acquaintance might not be your ideal guest for a family dinner, given Money's reputation for possessing utterly dreadful manners.
Beneath the makeup and squeaky shoes, Money harbors a surprisingly deep knowledge of classical literature, which Money enjoys reciting in a menacing tone to unnerve visitors.
Among the fellow clowns, Money is known for unpredictable pranks that keep everyone on edge.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Wear a scary clown costume. Any clown items (e.g., horn, rubber chicken, etc.) are optional props. Pennywise-style clown costumes.
THE FUNHOUSE CLOWNS
Bound by blood-curdling screams and late-night laughter, they’re more than just performers—they’re a tight-knit family of fright, bonded by creepy clown makeup, chaos, and a love for the macabre. Whether lurking in shadows or plotting the next perfect scare, this crew brings heart (and a few spare body parts) to every night of terror. For them, the haunt isn’t just a job… it’s home.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Wear a scary clown costume. Any clown items (e.g., horn, rubber chicken, etc.) are optional props. Pennywise-style clown costumes.
VINKO VEXX
Creepy Clown
Vinko is a former theme park mascot who has slid too far into character—and has never came back. Vinko’s now playing the most deranged clown in the funhouse and lives to unsettle others. Off the clock, Vinko speaks in rhymes, eats only yellow foods, and insists on doing ‘trust falls’ with unwilling coworkers. Vinko is also suspiciously good at balloon animal surgery.
Vinko is the former leader of the funhouse clowns. However, a pile-up of HR complaints from all the clown cast was the main reason why Money was transferred over to take the spot. But Vinko at least kept a job as a clown cast member. The management really had no choice, given that Vinko is the #1 scare that's posted on social media.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Wear a super scary clown costume. Any scary clown items (fake crazy-looking weapons.) are optional props. Pennywise-style clown costumes.
THE GRAVEYARD SCENE (FIRST FLOOR)
CANIS K. NYNE
Werewolf
Canis K. Nyne might just be the world’s friendliest person. By day, Canis keeps the city clean as a sanitation engineer; by night, this werewolf howls into the moonlight in the dark forest on the 3rd floor. Loyal, dependable, and everyone’s go-to good friend, but there’s a rumor afoot that Canis might have a dark side buried somewhere deep. Just a rumor… right?
Lately, some of the other cast members have noticed that Canis knows a lot about the moon phases and werewolf legends. And someone swore they he saw Canis's eyes flash a bright yellow in the middle of a performance, making everyone wonder just what is going on with this cast member. Alas, it's probably just a silly rumor.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Werewolf costume: a wolf mask with dress shirt/flannel and pants. Werewolf gloves and hair patches flow out of the sleeves and neck portion of the shirt.
BRIT BONZ
Skeleton Fiend
Prepare yourself for the whirlwind energy of Brit Bonz, the fast-talking and hyperactive skeleton fiend at the Chamber of Screams Haunted House. Brit, a successful marketing executive at a major beverage company, seems like a living, breathing test subject for the company's latest energy drink!
With energy levels that never seem to drop, Brit is like a nonstop blur of activity, and spending time around this skeleton might actually make you feel more awake. Some say Brit’s constant chatter and high energy make even the most fearless visitors jumpy. Just when you think you’ve got a handle on Brit, you'll be surprised with even more energy and even crazier antics.
Brit is posted in a subway car niche in a corridor of the 3rd floor of the Chamber of Screams. There's no real action up there, and even if there were, there'd be no guarantee that a guest would peep behind the black plastic sheeting for Brit's jump scare.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: For a skeleton costume, purchase a ready-made or made-black shirt and pants with white felt cut-out bones glued (pinned) onto them.
ZED ZEFF
Silent Ghoul of the Cemetery
Step into the chilling graveyard scene at the Chamber of Screams Haunted House, and you’ll meet Zed Zeff, the mysterious figure who plays the lead zombie. As the newest cast member this year, Zed keeps everyone guessing, wrapped in an air of mystery that leaves visitors and fellow actors uneasy. With whispers and rumors swirling about Zed’s true story, this zombie remains a puzzle waiting to be solved in the haunted grounds. Some say Zed has a past that is too spooky to reveal, while others think Zed's silence is part of a clever act.
Under Zed’s guidance, the other graveyard zombies create a bone-chilling presence that sends shivers down everyone's spine, making the graveyard one of the most terrifying spots in the haunted house.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: A zombie costume. Tattered clothing, scars/skeleton showing, and heavy white/black/green/gray makeup on the face. A messy wig is an optional prop.
THE CEMETERY ZOMBIES
Zed's Dead Entourage
When Zed Zeff rises, the rest of the graveyard follows. These rotting remnants of the dearly departed are more than background ghouls—they're some of the creepiest crawlers in the Chamber of Screams.
With groans, stares, and shuffling steps, the graveyard zombies work in eerie unison under Zed’s unnerving leadership. Their timing is perfect. Their moans are haunting. Their makeup? Decaying perfection. Together, they transform the graveyard into a spine-chilling graveyard realm no guest will want to enter! They'll certainly be rushing through and looking for the exit!
Many of the cast members are curious of this cemetery crew, as most of them are new to the haunted house this year. Nobody really knows where they all came from.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: A zombie costume. Tattered clothing, scars/skeleton showing, and heavy white/black/green/gray makeup on the face. A messy wig is an optional.
THE SCIENCE LAB (FIRST FLOOR)
DR. JECKLE HYDE
Mad Scientist
Dr. Jeckle Hyde, a real-life physician, takes center stage as the mastermind in the mad science laboratory within the Chamber of Screams Haunted House. With a reputation for arrogance and an affinity for over-exaggeration, Dr. Hyde's larger-than-life personality might be softened by a touch of Australian charm that could catch you off guard. Yet, beneath the surface charisma, there's no doubt that Dr. Hyde's primary concern revolves around a single focal point – none other than Dr. Hyde. Behind the manic laughter and theatrical flair lies a shrewd mind. Beware, for when it comes to this eccentric physician, yielding to their whims might be in your best interest, as the consequences of an opposing stance could be far from pleasant.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Mad Scientist costume – crazy wig, glasses, lab coat. Beakers and test tubes are optional props.
MARY FRANX
Bride of Frankelstein
Mary Franx steps into the role of the Bride of Frankelstein in the mad science laboratory scene at the Chamber of Screams Haunted House. She may be one of the first to greet the tour guests, but don’t expect any warm welcomes from this antisocial wannabe supermodel. Known for making harsh judgments and throwing out bold, offensive remarks, Mary never holds back when speaking the truth, no matter how brutal. Trying to get close to this dark bride is a bad idea since Mary’s extreme fear of germs means staying far away from everyone at all times. Many say that Mary keeps a stash of hand sanitizer close by and sprays it on anyone who gets too near. Even the other actors at the haunted house give Mary space, knowing full well that crossing her path could mean hearing a lot more than they bargained for.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Wear a Bride of Frankenstein costume, including a black-and-white wig and a wedding gown. An optional black bouquet is also available.
THE MUMMY'S REVENGE (FIRST FLOOR)
RAPPEN TYTE
Mummy
Meet Rappen Tyte—a high-energy college student from the local university who lives for playing the mischievous mummy in the Egyptian tomb room at the Chamber of Screams. Quick with a joke and never short on sass, Rappen loves teasing visitors, sometimes pushing the fun right to the edge. When there’s money, prizes, or even bragging rights on the line, Rappen’s competitive streak kicks in hard.
Rumor has it, Rappen has challenged guests waiting in line for the house to open to bizarre bets—like seeing who can stand still the longest or who can wrap a roll of toilet paper the fastest—just for the thrill of winning (and maybe a little gloating). Best advice? Stay sharp, keep your wallet close, and don’t let that charming grin distract you from the fact that this mummy is always plotting the next playful scheme.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Mummy costume. Heavy white & black face makeup.
THE ALIEN INVASION (FIRST FLOOR)
NANI NOONUNFA
Alien Invader
In the alien invasion room at the Chamber of Screams, Nani Noonunfa steals the spotlight with a commanding presence that’s downright otherworldly. Equal parts diva and dictator, Nani runs the extraterrestrial show with style, sass, and zero tolerance for nonsense.
Behind the glowing eyes and spacey swagger? A mysterious heir with a multimillion-dollar trust fund and a flair for drama. Rumor has it Nani works the haunted house gig purely for entertainment—because when you have endless cash and cosmic ambition, why not terrify humans for fun?
Saying no to Nani? Not recommended. Tantrums may occur, planets may explode.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Any scary alien costume. Ex: Paint skin blue & use a metal colander for a hat, and thread blue yarn through it for hair. Fake money is poking out of every pocket as opt
THE ALIEN INVADERS - NANI'S LOYAL AND SOMEWHAT CONFUSED CREW
Under the watchful eye of Nani Noonunfa, the alien invader cast members are more than just a group of creepy creatures from the stars—they're chaotic foot soldiers on a mission they rarely understand.
Each night brings a new bizarre directive: beam up a vampire, abduct a fog machine, reorganize the mummy room alphabetically. Confused? So are they. But despite the wild orders, this strange squad sticks together like radioactive glue.
They may not always know why they’re doing what they’re doing—but under Nani’s chaotic galactic leadership, they do it with flair.
Oh, and many of the cast members of the haunted house are irritated that they leave slime all over the break room. However, if your costume was covered in slime - you'd do the same! Oh, but maybe you'd clean up after yourself. They don't, though, and Nani doesn't say a word to them about it.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Any scary alien costume. Ex: Paint skin blue & use a metal colander for a hat, and thread blue yarn through it for hair. Fake money is poking out of every pocket as optional props.
THE BLACK LAGOON (FIRST FLOOR)
GERRI GREEN
Swamp Creature
Talking with Gerri Green, the detail-oriented team member of the lagoon room in the Chamber of Screams Haunted House, means diving into a sea of endless facts and explanations. Gerri loves to over-explain everything, turning every conversation into a deep dive into every little detail. If you decide to chat with Gerri, set aside plenty of time.
Some visitors joke that Gerri could make even a simple “hello” last an hour. Rumor has it that Gerri once gave an unsuspecting guest waiting in line outside for the house to open a 30-minute talk on the history of fog machines. Those who know Gerri always come prepared with an excuse to escape if needed!
Gerri's sister is the district attorney of Blackwood Falls. If you are ever in the break room with Gerri, you'd know that, as that's all this swamp dweller wants to talk about.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Wear a green swamp creature costume. Paint your skin green and brown. Wear a green shirt and pants, and attach green and brown strips of fabric for a ‘swampy’ effect.
WANDERERS (FIRST FLOOR)
V
Jamie Vorahees (Serial Killer)
V plays the role of the notorious serial killer Jamie Vorahees in the Chamber of Screams Haunted House. For V, making friends has never been a priority. Known for a strict and serious attitude, V is seen as a tough and distant character. V only shows up during the haunted house season and rarely socializes outside this eerie setting. Some say V spends the rest of the year sharpening skills and preparing for the next haunting season. Most of the other cast members know to stay on V’s good side because V supposedly has some powerful connections and won’t hesitate to cause trouble for anyone who crosses the line.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Serial Killer Costume. Torn work clothing, a hockey mask, and a toy knife or machete.
AXEL GUNS
Executioner
Axel Guns plays the role of an executioner at the Chamber of Screams Haunted House. If you were to open the dictionary to the entry on "perfectionist," you'd likely see Axel Guns' portrait right there. Axel has a full-time job as an artist and is always trying to improve. Axel's never satisfied with any work, even if everyone else thinks it looks incredible. Axel constantly refines every creation, even when those pieces are already impressive to others. Axel’s reputation in the art world is well-earned, and the pursuit of perfection even extends to personal appearance — it's not unusual to see Axel frequently checking a reflection in a handheld mirror. Some say Axel has redone the same painting dozens of times, always spotting something new to fix. Friends have learned not to ask for Axel’s opinion on their work unless they’re ready for a long list of suggestions. Whether in the studio or at the haunted house, Axel’s drive for perfection never seems to take a break.
Axel is currently trying to sell a few pieces of art that most of the town has already given a hard pass. If you're interested in these pieces - click here and then let Axel know if you're interested at the Halloween party.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Executioner costume. Dark robes, dark hood, and a fake executioner’s axe. A handheld mirror is an optional prop.
BING BLACK
Grim Reaper Tour Guide
Bing Black, dressed as the Grim Reaper, guides visitors through the shadows of the Chamber of Screams Haunted House, creating an eerie atmosphere that chills everyone to the bone. But when the lights get dim, a surprising side of Bing emerges — a funny, playful alter ego that sings silly songs and cracks jokes in the middle of the darkness. Bing's secret talent for stand-up comedy is usually hidden while on the job, leaving everyone curious about the funny personality beneath this supernatural reaper's spooky exterior. Some say Bing has made a few visitors laugh so hard they forgot to be scared.
Alongside Bing is a group of grim reaper tour guides, each wearing the classic cloak and carrying a scythe or a lantern. They lead guests through the haunted halls while telling creepy stories of the afterlife. With this team, every tour is packed with scares and surprises!
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Grim reaper costume. The toy sickle is an optional prop.
For Bing, bring your best jokes to tell your coworkers, as you love to practice your standup act.
GRIM REAPER TOUR GUIDES
Ushers of the Afterlife
They glide through the haunted halls with scythes in hand and secrets on their breath. The Grim Reaper Tour Guides are the haunting hosts of the Chamber of Screams, delivering eerie tales, spine-tingling stares, and a sense of doom that lingers long after you’ve passed them by.
Cloaked in darkness and carrying lanterns to light the path to your nightmares, each guide adds their own ghostly twist to the tour. Whether whispering from behind a mask or leading a silent procession of frightened guests, this team turns every walkthrough into a journey into the unknown.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Grim reaper costume. The toy sickle is an optional prop.
RED AXEHOUSE
Mickey Myers (Serial Killer)
During the day, Red Axehouse is a brave firefighter, always ready to rush into danger to help others. But by night, Red becomes a passionate poet, sharing heartfelt verses at the local poetry club - until he slips into a serial killer costume to frighten visitors at the Chamber of Screams Haunted House.
Known for his polite manners and old-fashioned sense of honor, Red is considered a true gentleman by everyone who meets him. Even in the haunted house, Red’s chivalry shines through, offering a hand to anyone who stumbles in the dark.
Some say Red’s poetry can bring tears to the toughest of souls, while others wonder how he balances his gentle side with the terror he brings at night. Red has a unique mix of bravery, creativity, and charm.
COSTUME SUGGESTIONS: Serial Killer Costume. Coveralls, a mask, and a fake knife.
