HOW TO ACT THE ROLE
Heroes

-
Voice: Confident, sometimes overly noble.
“This ends tonight.”
“I didn’t come here to fight… but I will.”
Villains
-
Laugh too long. Sneer more than necessary. Tilt your head a lot.
-
Voice: Smooth or menacing, with dramatic pauses.
“Oh, I’ve waited for this moment…”
“You’re all pawns. And I’m the player.”
ADD-ON FUN: SOUND CUES
-
Walk into the party with your own theme song
-
Use your phone to play “power-up” sounds
-
If you’re a villain, interrupt others with ominous music
-
Announce your arrival like it’s a comic book panel:
“Crack! A burst of light! Enter... SolarStrike.”
NOTES FROM THE GAME DEVELOPER
Our mystery party games will never reference or use superheroes or villains from existing media, such as Marvel or DC, etc. But even if you purchase a Marvel or DC character costume - you could put your own spin on it by attaching your own insignia or logo. Or if it's a costume that is defined by the hair or headpiece - just don't wear it (but wear the main part of the costume) and come up with your own spin for it.
Or, you can design your own superhero costume by wearing the plain bodysuits and picking out a cape or cloak or even wings. With fabric glue, you could affix anything to the cape or bodysuit within your theme - just allow enough time for drying.
